This Is Why NFL Star Greg Hardy Was Arrested For Assaulting His Ex-Girlfriend Barefoot and frightened, Nicole Holder walked as fast as she could through the darkness, and the moment she saw the cops she ran. She headed west on Fifth Street toward North Church, away from the Charlotte., N.C., apartment of Greg Hardy, a star defensive end then with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. Minutes earlier he had, she said, thrown her against a tile bathtub wall, tossed her on a futon covered in assault rifles, and choked her until she told him to “kill me so I don’t have to.” Someone Appears To Be Trying To Hoax The Marlins President Out Of His Job When the Miami Marlin…

The Nets Sunk a Ton of Money Into Kyrie Irving and a Lost Season

data-mm-id=”_pixuyx2nk”>Kyrie Irving's first season with the Brooklyn Nets is over. After playing in only 20 games, Irving will undergo shoulder surgery and miss the rest of the campaign, leaving a rudderless squad in his wake. There's no way to sugarcoat it. This season is a massive failure for the Nets, and they paid a ton of money for it. The Nets made waves this offseason by signing Irving, Kevin Durant and DeAndre Jordan. Obviously Irving and Durant were the headliners, with Durant inking a four-year, $164 million deal and Irving taking one worth $142 million over four years. Jordan signed for four years and $40 million, which added three former All-NBA picks to the team's roster.Brooklyn knew Durant was highly unlikely to play during the 2019-20 season as he recove…

Marcus Spears Thinks There's Something Fishy About Dak Prescott Contract Situation

data-mm-id=”_zrcq5oyfj”>We're three months away from the start of the NFL season (hopefully) and the Dallas Cowboys have yet to reach an extension with Dak Prescott. Prescott hasn't signed the franchise tag with negotiations ongoing. The PR war continues to rage as the Cowboys signed Andy Dalton for insurance purposes and Stephen Jones recently said the team is hesitant to dedicate a significant portion of the salary cap to their quarterback because the numbers suggest it's much harder to win a Super Bowl when that is the case. Of late, rumors suggest that the hangup is Prescott's desire for a five-year deal rather than the four years the Cowboys are offering. Marcus Spears was on Get Up on Monday to explain why that doesn't sound quite right to him, and that …

Why Does Chris Simms Dislike Tua Tagovailoa So Much?

data-mm-id=”_jgaez1387″>Tua Tagovailoa is widely regarded as one of the best college quarterbacks of this decade, definitely the best Alabama quarterback of all time, and could have been the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft even after going down with a hip injury halfway through his 2019 season. His resume after two seasons and change as the Crimson Tide's starter is just that impressive. Impressive to everyone but Chris Simms, that is. Simms was on his hot take game today when he went on WEEI to say he believes Jarrett Stidham is more talented than Tagovailoa. This is not the first time Simms has expressed strong doubt that everyone's high opinion of Tagovailoa is justified. It is hard to understand why! Simms said today that Tagovailoa is a "creation" of A…

data-mm-id=”_tg7izo3fe”>The Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers open their Western Conference semifinal playoff series Friday night and it should be an incredible clash in styles. The Lakers are heavily favored to advance to the conference finals, but the Rockets won't be an easy out. In fact, Houston has a real chance in this series given the relative strengths and weaknesses of the teams. What follows are three things the Rockets have to do in order to upset the Lakers. Houston Has to Make ShotsThis seems obvious, right? But while the Rockets have a reputation as an outside shooting team, they actually ranked 24th in the NBA in 3-point percentage during the regular season at 34.5 percent. What canceled that out a bit was the fact that they led the league with 15.6 makes per g…
