Prediction: Leicester City vs Norwich City

There s no question Leicester City have been one of the best teams in the Premier League this season. The Foxes have performed way above the pre-season expectations; in fact, right now they should be considered as the biggest title candidates to stop Liverpool. They will aim to take another step in the right direction Saturday when they host a struggling Norwich City side that is complicated with the relegation threat. This match will kick-off Saturday at 15:00 GMT.

Leicester City

Leicester City are the hottest team in the Premier League right now, as they are on a blistering run of eight straight wins thanks to an impressive attacking line that has averaged 3.12 goals per game over that span. Scoring multiple goals in each of those wins while conceding just three goals – and keeping five clean sheets – it’s clear Brendan Rodgers’ men are clicking on both ends of the pitch at the moment. That might not be enough to move into the top spot since Leicester currently sit eight points behind Liverpool. However, it’s been more than enough to keep them as the biggest surprise of the tournament so far since they sit in second place with 38 points (W12, D2, L2). They are performing at an even higher level than when they won the title back in 2015/16. Can they extend their impressive form with another win here, this time against a relegation-threatened team such as Norwich?

Team News

Matty James will be Leicester s lone absentee ahead of this match. The defender is dealing with an Achilles tendon injury. The rest of the squad should be fit and available at Brandon Rodgers disposal.

Norwich City

The Canaries only have 11 points this season (W3, D2, L11) and if the season ended today, they would get relegated to the Championship after just one season in the top-flight. Norwich also enter this game on a two-game losing streak following a 1-2 home defeat against Sheffield United, and they have won just once over their last five league matches (W1, D1, L3), going winless in each of their last three contests (D1, L2). For what is worth, their defence has been their Achilles heel this season since only Southampton have conceded more goals than Norwich, although The Saints allowed nine goals in just one game earlier this season so that average is a bit inflated. If we also consider Norwich own a league-worst W1, D1, L6 mark away from home, then they shouldn’t feel confident ahead of this contest.

Team News

Josip Drmic (thigh) and Timm Klose (knee) are out of this match. Grant Hanley (groin) will be a game-time decision and he is questionable. But he hasn t played since mid-August, so his chances of featuring here are quite slim.
